AEDs In Our Area

The Johnson County Early Defibrillation Task Force (JCEDTF) has the primary task of reducing death and disability resulting from sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) through the use of automated external defibrillators within Johnson County. Sudden cardiac arrest claims the lives of 350,000 Americans every year. Research suggests that individuals experiencing a pre-hospital cardiac arrest in Johnson County have only a 7.5 percent chance of survival.

Individuals interested in making a donation to the task force are encouraged to visit the task force website at www.jcdefib.org.
The Johnson County Early Defibrillation Task Force, Incorporated, was formed as an Iowa nonprofit corporation in the summer of 2002 by a team of dedicated physicians, nurses, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, law enforcement officers, recreation specialists, and other allied health professionals.
